Title: Best brake pads?
Post by: GrahamB on 06 July 2014, 08:45:59 pm
I've searched, honestly but couldn't find much on the subject.
Off to the Nurburgring again in August & front pads are a bit low. Just wanted general opinion regards all round use for best new pads to go for.
 Thanks in advance.

carbone lorraine (in a silver packet) get a big thumbs up from me.
consistant stopping for 38 laps of cadwell and still got 6mm left (started with 8)

Been using bendix MF pads on my gen II, and they're simply superb! I've not got them to fade, and they do get a lot of abuse!
They do a harder racing compound too for even hotter use :-[

I've used Carbonne Lorraine pads on both a 600 and 1000 and found them excellent but, to be honest, there's very little between the popular options, and it comes down to what you get used to.

Okay thanks for all the replies folks. I'm guessing Yamaha pads would be expensive?
Another question, what's a good on line source for pads?
