Any of you guys experienced uber twitchy handling - bike twitching from the rear over white lines IN THE DRY!! More to the point has anyone found a cure for it?

Worn swing arm bearings or squared off tyre.

I suspect  "normal"

if the white lines have built up paint then you will feel a quick pull to the left or right,,because your weight is usually on the center of the tyre , but as you go to the raised white line suddenly your weight is on the edge of the tyre that is raised of the floor by the paint,so you fall away from it and as you cross it you will pull towards it,

it is unnerving but you should expect it.

Worn tyres normally when this has happened to me.

Another guess at worn tyres.

too much gas, the bike not you, take it you are overtaking when it happens? hit a catseye and the front lifts/wobbles, I try to cross them as fast as possible in the wet or dry.

I suspect tyre choice may be implicated. I have owned 3 FZS's which haven't been so twitchy. Tyres aren't squared, no float in the swingarm bearings Itys only done 6,000 miles - think I will play with suspension settings - maybe that its a weight distribution thing -ie too much around my middle lol!

Used bikes can look identical in every respect, yet rarely do they all ride the same.. ime
