Title: Engine Paint for a 2001 FZS600
Post by: emjaydee on 04 June 2014, 02:40:15 pm
Hello,
A quick question, is the original engine paint on a 2001 FZS600 matt black or gloss black?
Thanks

Think satin Finnish is closer!
I just use hammerite- had no problems with temperature affecting it!

Are the covers (clutch, sprocket etc) also in satin black?

IMO, the engine covers are gloss. Probably all matt black after this many years though. I'm going to be spraying everything I get to matt black. Eurocarparts has cans of black hi temp paint for £5.99 delivered, cheaper than anywhere else.
