Well as you can see the brake line on the other side, I'm going to go out and assume this was one of the Yams that was converted to have partial front wheel drive?

Hydraulic front wheel drive and chain driven rear

They tried it on an R1 also if I remember correctly

Didn't they do an experimental R1 like that a while back?
