Hi All , just brought 2001 fazer , bloddy hell it goes! found a oil leak from gear leaver case ! I think . any recommed good parts suppliers also a rattle from engine low ish revs would it be cam chain or adjustment ( sounds abit like a loose exhaust) done 28000 miles needs a good going over. :lol also who do I contact for a ivan kit Thanks SWIFTY

To get an ivans kit fitted the ONLY person everyone uses is Falcon 269 send him a PM to find out when he is available. The rattle sounds like the cables on the exup valve need adjusting.
-
if you're a competant mechanic then ivanising is straight forward enough, likewise keeping the exup valve well greased and in adjustment.

also who do I contact for a ivan kit Thanks

Or yup there is Mike (Falcon269), he often does 'Ivanising tours' and must have fitted 100's by now.

It could be a loose exhaust, there is a bracket on the collector box part of the exhaust that has been known to crack.
Oil leak could be just a build up of chain lube leaking or it might be the gearbox sprocket oil seal, give it a good clean and watch for leaks.

Hi All, thanks for the info , I want to fit the kit my self, so sg motorsport are the uk supplers then, oil leak seems to be higher than the sprocket seal, poss gear selector housing gasget ! also req inlet carb rubbers, pattern or gen yam ? . Thanks SWIFTY.

Hi and welcome. :)
The gasket on the gear lever cover can leak (not the seal on the output shaft itself) which is what Tmation was saying, but be sure first that it's not chain lube. He's also right on with the ideas for the rattle, along with the usual 'check EXUP' advice. :)
If you need any tips on installing Ivan's kit, drop me a PM. Pattern inlet rubbers aren't available so it's new or a breaker's yard for replacements. If it's only surface-level cracking, don't worry ... the rubber is thick and there's also a metal core inside the stub.
