Post by: rocky1966 on 25 May 2014, 01:17:49 pm
hi I have a 2003 foxeye 600
I wondered is it easy to remove the 2 blue spots ali bungs on each side of calliper, I want to paint the callipers a new matt black, but don't want any paint going on the blue spots. if you do remove, does any fluid come out etc, many thanks, this is my VERY 1ST POST. ANY HELP ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED, CHEERS ROY

First of all, welcome to FOC-U!

Could you not just simply mask off the bungs? I'd have thought that'd be simpler than disassembly!

Here you go...

There is a rubber seal behind the blue spots.

From what I've been told, they are a complete pain to remove and reseal. I haven't tried but a friends Thundercats brakes were ruined by a shop that tried to do the job.
