Title: fazer sound?
Post by: wutangbuzz on 29 April 2014, 08:51:16 pm
Took my bike into the garage for a knocking sound. They say can't hear that but said it sounds like its whining. Its always done this, especially in 6th. Is this the normal fazer sound or have I got a problem?

A loud exhaust can should help cure the whining if one isnt fitted already  :thumbup .... The knocking is another matter..

The knocking could be my imagination. Got a new exhaust on order. Do fazers sound whiney naturally?

Neither of my fzs's have had silent gearboxes at certain speeds in certain gears... My old 12 used to whine more than my ex wife  :rollin

My gearbox whines a bit but it's definitely 2/3 as opposed to 6th.

My second boxeye had a whiny sixth. Fitted a race can and it went away! :lol

I have always thought my FZS600 was whiny, remember my mates being like that too before i got mine so assumed it was just the sound

I've noticed a bit of a knock on my '03 600, not so much heard, but felt, especially at tickover (1200rpm) and not at regular intervals. Haven't had the carbs balanced recently so may be one is a way out?

Mine's a bit whiney too, but running the standard can it can only really be expected as they sound like a bag of ass. Must get that sorted  :D
