Title: rotating switches
Post by: 72 chamb on 25 April 2014, 04:58:48 pm
Can anyone suggest how to stop both left and right switches rotating/moving as the plastic locater has been cut off/snapped..the screws are tight. I think a previous owner may have had different bars on...

Take the switch unit off, and a couple of layers of tape round the bar should do it. I've had best results from self amalgamating tape, and zinc oxide tape.

It's a bit trial and error to get the exact amount on there, bit worth it in the end, dome it on pretty much every bike I've owned.

I see you've already fixed but in the past I've used the double sided foam tape you can get from the pound shop!
