Jesus - I know Escort shells go for a bit but that's just taking the piss. Not worth a wank in my book.

it wont be the shell - they will be bidding for the VIN's and the V5 to put on another shell likely. Not worth that to me either.
-
Bargain :eek
-
And people are bidding for that!!!!?As said they must be wanting the reg no/V5/VIN plate as I don't think even my scrap man would take that way!
-
Egg shells are cheaper than this pile o crap. :pc
-
16 bids, somebody's taking the piss.
-
good grief, i might go and dig out my old mk 1 mexico bodyshell from the place where i dumped it. the roof was caved in but it might be worth a look.
-
And someone some where will have their pride and joy stolen never to be seen again? thats why people are bidding on it.

Sadly yes or buy a ringer which was never a GT in the 1st place...just a yellow 1100L >:
-
Either that, or maybe its someone who already has an escort bidding, who just fancies the free road tax ;)
-
so the buyer will not collect the scrap.just ask for the documents in the post :)
-

It was up to £10,100 earlier then it was wiped clean and they've now started bidding again.
I wouldn't touch that ad even if i wanted the plates, something's very dodgy about the whole thing.
-
auction fever.....crazy fools :rolleyes .....only thing you could do is swap the plates to another shell, wont be origanal and worthless at that price.....oh the magic of ebay .....
-
Change the oil, kick the tyres, ready to rrrrrroll - how does anyone fall for this shite; I mean, what's it really worth to anyone? What's a good Mexico worth? ('cept it's still a cage, so foc all in my book :lol ). Like paying thousands for a personalised no. plate - gimme a break! :rolleyes
-
I see that bids now been cancelled - back down to £410
EDIT - back to 10,000+ again!

The bidding reached £720 about 3 minutes before it ended then dropped to zero before finishing up at £25,100

I reckon the seller has sold it privately and has had someone stick a mega high bid in to outbid everyone else.

Why? He will have to pay eBay commission.
I would just cancel the auction.

not if the buyer never pays him ;) it will likely be a "new" account that has bought it so nothing is lost. I didnt know you could cancel an auction mid-way?
-
Yeh, you can cancel mid way, but not in the last 12/24 hours, but then you only need say its lost, broken or stolen....all that legal binding stuff is a load of balls :rolleyes
-
Looking at the buyers feedback number, it wasn't a new account.
