Title: It's for chariddy, mate!
Post by: Nooj on 03 January 2012, 02:29:49 am
I've been helping these guys out over the last year:

They've just received £10k from the National Lottery so will be going for another year. Operating from Castle Combe in Wiltshire and RAF Odiham in Hants, volunteers are always welcome (and there's usually time for one track session afterwards as thanks).

Also any unwanted kit is also welcome.

Try this:

http://web.me.com/tskeelspiggins/Disabled_Motorcycling/Bike_Experience.html (http://web.me.com/tskeelspiggins/Disabled_Motorcycling/Bike_Experience.html)

It's trackdays for paraplegic bikers basically, so catching them when they come into the pit lane and launching them when they go back out onto the track (plus picking the riders and bikes up off the floor when they fall off).

Much easier than it sounds, no one's been run over.... yet  :)

It's a good day out, dates are to be arranged but Castle Combe was usually every other Wednesday last year. Some of the riders are a bit wobbly, but most of them go hacking round the track faster than I can.

This is the best place to find out what's going on with them, what dates are booked etc.
