Title: Rear Brake Adjustment
Post by: humbucker88 on 20 April 2014, 08:20:51 pm
I've just replaced all the seals on my rear brake caliper, including the tiny joint seal. Fitted braided lines and bled through, however, the braking is now very sensitive, not even remotely progressive, tapping the rear brake pedal almost locks up the tyre. Would appreciate any advice on how to adjust this?

What pads are you using?

That's strange, not really anything to adjust, did you clean the disc and de glaze the pads? It could just be that the caliper is now working as it should and your have hh pads that can be a bit grabby. I would put some standard GG pads in if you find them too sharp.

I think you're right, new braided lines and thoroughly bled system might mean they're now working optimally, will put some new GG pads in and see what happens. HH is sintered and GG is ceramic, correct?

HH sintered GG organic, I use ebc GG pads in the rear and ebc HH in the front.
