Title: That missing plane
Post by: locksmith on 13 March 2014, 12:07:24 pm
Flight MH370, bloody strange isn't it.
How come no ones claiming alien intervention  :eek

I was told that scaled down it's like looking for a penny in somewhere the size of Wembley stadium. Could take a while!

i reckon they flew it up to the outer edge of the atmosphere, and it burned up on re-entry.

When you have dismissed the probable, what ever you are left with, however improbable has to be the answer.

Therefore……………its aliens.

or a hijacking that flew the plane to some remote desert island.

or the captain flew it under the radar and landed it somewhere for a few shekels towards his retirement, so the plane can be used later to attack singapores twin towers.

then again, aliens it is.

Was reading some American site yesterday, they reckon the planes transponders can be turned off so civil radar can't see it.
However the engines continually send data back to base and that was happening for another 4 hours.
Gets stranger and stranger.
Title: Re: That missing plane
Post by: BBROWN1664 on 14 March 2014, 11:08:56 am
there are two types of civilian radar. One relies on the plane telling the "radar" where it is and the other is a true RAdio Direction And Ranging system that sends a radio pulse out and listens for the reflected signal to come back giving it a range and direction. To avoid clutter on the screens, control towers only tend to use the first one but military use both as the enemy is unlikely to sqwark their location to you.
The +4 hours thing on the engine data seems to be a bit vague at the moment. One minute they are saying that they have it, the next they don't. Rolls Royce don't seem to have made a statement yet about it but the US are now searching the Indian Ocean so there is possibly some truth in it.

Those americans know where it is and can see it from their spy satalites but to say so would expose their ability.

satellites are easy to explain without giving away too much. Their sub fleet on the other hand...............

:agree they do know something though.

Since commercial earth observing satellites have a resolution of a couple of feet, the Americans wouldn't be revealing much about their spy satellites capabilities if they found something the size of an airliner.

Very simple really:-

1. It crashed into the sea
2. They havn't found it yet.

Delboy's theory, FWIW, is that it nose dived into boggy land or thick jungle at around 500mph and may never be found?

latest Is it carried on flying for a few hours with its comms deliberately turned off, in opposite direction to intended. Maybe it was in the hold of an alien mother ship....or a hijacking attempt went wrong , ie maybe the crew tried to overpower hijackers, it went tits up and plane then crashed. :eek

Rivetting though aint it !   :lol

I did think aliens straight away though...anyone who is up to speed with " ancient aliens" must know its time they came back....this could be a good showpiece return........nick a plane, then a week later let it go back in the sky ...that wud be a story and a half. :D

If it was in my shed they would need more than satalites and fleets of ships to find it

Of all the theories I have heard, this does seem the most reasonable so far

Wired article doesn't sound like something that they'd do on an aircraft in flight, however guy at work thinks it's sounds very similar to the Greek flight where cabin pressurisation failed and everyone succumbed to hypoxia: http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?topic=11461.0

The pilots had another couple of Australian chicks in the cockpit, it's named that for a reason you know. Anyway one thing lead to another and before they knew it the fuel ran out and that was that.

I know its an old one but if the "black box" is so strong -- why dont they make the whole plane out of the same stuff.
And they are talking about if it is at the bottom of the sea it will be 2 miles down--- why dont they make the fockin black box float

They don't make the plane of the same stuff probably because it'd weigh a million tonnes and never get off the ground, although on the plus side at least it couldn't crash.

It can't float if it's stuck inside the wreckage of a plane.
