Somebody at work has knocked my FZS600 over. I have her contact details.
Should not cost to much to put right, might be better to do it without the insurance?

I have a pair of pillion footrest hangers incl the footpegs. It is the later version which are slightly lower down with rubber topped pegs. Clean but could do with a bit of autosol as has a matted finish from storage.

My mate has same bike and has done the rear footpeg mod so has some spares so thats sorted. We need to have a look make sure nothing else is bent.

Damage could have been worse, you're lucky your fairing is more or less in tact, it's often the first to go. I'd check all the control cables, levers, controls are working as they should. Damage to bars/mirrors should be obvious so I'm assuming they're ok.
Tough luck, at least the person responsible has been decent enough to own up.

I'm in agreement with that....If you can find out what her excess is then add a couple of hundred to it as her premiums will go up too.......that then should be plenty to get back to normal.

My bike got knocked over last year and everything was dealt with by a 3rd party insurer on the guy who knocked it overs insurance. It hasn't affected my claims bonus / insurance premium at all. I asked him for money and he gave me a load of bollocks about being disabled and on benefits etc, but a mate at college said to ask for his insurance details then contact them directly and ask about 3rd party repairs. I got everything replaced (about £400 worth) and didn't have to pay a penny, plus like I say still have all my ncb. All I had to do was send them the web links to the parts I had bought and an invoice for the cost and they sorted everything, even offered me a courtesy bike whilst they fit it all at a garage but I said I would fit it myself. Worth phoning to find out, wont cost you anything to inquire.

Yeah to be fair the bike is in good condition after the fall, it broke the hanger but my mate had one so that's sorted and all cables and levers ok, no indicators or lights broken so all good.
I now have the fairing scratch to deal with. I could get a quote for a spray fix or look in to getting a new fairing as it looks like one of the infill panel attachment points is broken at the fairing point.
Is there anyway to tell fairing colours from the part number? I also need the stickers priced but there seems to be different different numbers so assuming different colours?

If it was in a private company carpark then the insurance company could well tell you to foc off.

Well i have done some searching, looks like i can get a new fairing and stickers for £204. This should be easy to fit myself, I reckon you'd be near enough £100 for a respray plus that plastic lug part is broken so that would need fixed. I'd say better to get the new fairing?
I assume the side "Fazer" stickers come as a pack of 2?

Well a wee update:
My insurers deal with BLD, they have picked up the bike on Tuesday to assess the damage caused by the fall on to the right hand side. I now have a Suzuki GSXF650 as a hire bike.
Wednesday BLD called to say that i needed a New front fairing, stickers, Rear pillion hanger, bars, bar end and engine casing needs touched up. They will get in touch with Admiral about the damage.
Thursday, Admiral called and said they would get in touch with BLD to get the price of repair.
I am a bit worried about them writing the bike off.

Even if they do write the bike-off, you should be able to buy it back using the payout from the insurance company... right?

Yeah, BLD have said that. It would then be a Cat C I think, no real problem with that as I don't plan to sell it.

More likely a Cat D, cosmetic damage but beyond economic repair, especially when they factor in the cost of the hire bike they have provided you with.

I would be surprised if it went to Cat C... can't be any structural damage to it at all?
