Cable to tight perhaps

I've tried adjusting the cable from both ends with no positive outcome just the same "clutch out - no go"

What is the spring you've replaced? Where on the engine is it?

I replaced the 6 clutch springs, because they were heavy duty springs which I was assuming was the cause of my extremely heavy clutch

Sounds like you are missing a plate!

I didn't remove the plates? Haha and it worked before hand... I'm. Wondering if the softer springs has made the clutch cable appear to long?

Has the clutch pressure plate seated properly? Did you replace one spring at a time, or take them all off at once? Has the gear selector rod moved? Hve you checked the pressure plate is moving when the clutch cover is off?

There are some things to get you started.

Gear rod is fine, I changed all springs at once and the plate was moving when pulling the lever... starting to.do me.in now lol

Right, so, not necessary a solution but are the springs the same length?
When I changed my cat springs I didn't realise there was 2 different lengths which needed to be alternated on installation!
You still have the heavy duty springs so stand them on end and have a look.

Btw- the length difference was minimal, as in mm, but there was a difference!

There are two different clutches in the FZS600, even my local yamaha dealer did not know this. So there are two different sets of HD clutch springs. I had this with a customers bike and it baffled me for a while. are they EBC springs and do you have a part number on the packet?
