Would you recommend them?
Going to be doing the front calipers with new seals and hopefully not pistions :lol
and the new rear fazer thou caliper i got too.
They are certainly cheaper than the oem, but are they good or shite?

sorry no idea about those seals
but to be honest something as important as brakes id be very tempted to stick to oem

Never heard of em Fizzy. Personally, I'd stick to OEM too. Pricey, but can be trusted.

I put Nikone fork seals in mine and they leaked just as badly as before I'd changed them. Took them out and fitted genuine Yamaha ones and no leaks......

Not certain but I think I got mine via Wemoto using their OEM parts finder

What are the general feelings about replacing non leaking brake seals?
According to the service book, every 2 years fluid and seal replacement which seems slightly excessive to me.
I'm thinking a fluid change and a good clean

I use Nikone seals all the time as well as their fork seals, they are just as good as anyone elses and never really had a problem with them.

Two years for the fluid is fair enough as it absorbs moisture, but I'm guessing a lot don't stick to that.
As for the seals at two years I don't know anybody who does that, but maybe somebody who likes spending money and dismantling brake callipers does it ;) .

Its not a bad thing to do, as you do get a build up of crud (road shite, ali corrosion, brake dust) that builds up around the seals. even if they are not sticking after two years of use a strip down and clean up would make the brake operate fair more effectively as well as benefiting from fresh brake fluid.

Remember the red rubber grease on the seals when re-assembling. Rebuilding with dry seals will mean you will have to do the job again real soon.

I didn't find the job to be too terrible and I did my 600 rear without splitting the caliper (it refused)

It used to be in small print in the lower left, but they've removed it from what I can see.
However, all is not lost!

Note the GPN in the URL is 3MA258031000 - this is the OEM part no. This should be applicable to any OEM part on their site, in theory :)

Awesome cheers rusty that is ideal I've downloaded that manual now thanks. Yeah I thought it used to be there deadeye, they probably found out what people were doing and have removed it to increase the chances of people buying from them I guess. Thanks for the help.

Fizzy Pies, I fear my earlier response to tomjimtom may have been misunderstood, I wasn't suggesting you like spending money, that was some fictitious person who existed only in my imagination (or maybe it's my wife?).
Also I wasn't suggesting you shouldn't clean the calipers and pistons more often, (as Deefer suggests), just that changing the seals every two years seems a bit much for normal use, imho.
P.S. If any of that doesn't make sense, then take it as a warning on the evils of drink on a young impressionable mind.
