Title: Removing OE Exhaust
Post by: Drax on 26 January 2014, 07:55:21 pm
As a certified eejit new to the forum - I would like to ask the following questions:

1) If / When I remove the OE exhaust (end can) what should I expect?

2) What effect will removing the EXUP valve have on the bike

3) Will it pass it's emissions test(UK) without the CAT /OE can

4)Would I have to put the OE silencer back on each time to pass the MOT? See? I just asked dat question before! What an EEJIT!!!!  :rolleyes

On a gen2 the valve is there for noise emissions and can be removed with no ill effects. Remove the cables from the pulley under the tank and leave that working or you will get an error code.
Bikes are not emission tested at MOT time so no need to change cans as long as your replacement is road legal.
When you remove the oe one, it's weight will take you by surprise and you will drop it :lol
