Title: footpegs
Post by: bikerboy1000 on 25 January 2014, 09:43:50 am
Hi,

I have just received my MFW adjustable footpegs for my gen 1 fazer 1000.
I am having trouble removing the existing ones. as there is a pin going trough the bracket, but I cant work out how to undo the clip securing it underneath,
the Haynes manual shows it as a bolt and nut but that's not on mine, any help greatly appreciated

If you are removing standard footrests just drill out the end of the rivet and replace with a bolt and nut (normally supplied with new footrests) I drill the end off you can see in the picture.
