I used to fit these occasionally, but not anymore due to Part P.
Screwfix do sell a Drayton 7-day tempus:

Easy to fit, usually 6 or 4 wires depending on whether there is a thermostat.
Only do it if you are competent and can definitely isolate it before removing the cover.

A year or so I bought a new programmer as I was getting interference on the TV and it was suggested this may be the cause.
It was a Honeywell one so I bought the same make but a current model for easy installation. Wrong - wiring was all different and I didn't want to foc up the new boiler so a local sparky charged me £40 to wire it in.
Cured the TV problem as well !!

If you are going to diy make a note of the connections before you start , just in case you have to call in a sparky .
