always loathed 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day' by Wizzard, so bad that even George Michael's Last Christmas is bearable by comparison.
strangely i've always liked Fairytail of New York by Kirsty Maccoll and The Pogues - tho i bet many here will hate it...
-
 Nah, I like "fairytale" - it's kinda anti-Christmas :-)

-
 <3 Christmas ^^

IIITTSSS CHRRRIISSTTMMAAASSS!!!!
-
 The Waitresses for me.

Christmas Wrapping ~ The Waitresses (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_qck_zNUNk#)

-
fairytale of new york = No1 Xmas song.
What amazes me is we live on old christmas songs every year , but todays music cant or dont write christmas songs. Showing my age here. ;)

I like the Bing and Dave one

I fucking hate the Slade song with a passion, it's just the worst! I wouldn't say I liked any Christmas song, but the most bearable is Jona Lewie's Stop The Cavalry.

-
What Christmas songs? I never hear any on Radio 4
:lol
-
The Pogues and Kirsty is the best by a friggin long way.

Mariah Carey - all i want etc is a 2nd placer.

-
 Jona Lewie  :2guns

-
they all sound good when lashed up.

-
If I never hear that Slade one again I'll be a happy man.
Best would be the Pogues/McColl, Waitresses and I reckon Greg Lake's "I believe in Father Christmas" deserves an honourable mention too.
-
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer - Kenny Wayne Shepherd (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NarGvutAKAI#)

-
Dig a VERY deep hole, chuck em all in and fill with concrete - job done.

Why is Christmas an excuse for crap music/song writing? Plus, the sentiments expressed are hypocritical mush.

Bah humbug? Bah, bollocks.

:lol

There is one that I kinda like by Blink 182 - but it ain't exactly Christmasy! (can't remember what it's called either)
-
Pink Floyd - Merry Xmas Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBgv20hgnY0#)

The best band ever, and now the best christmas song.

i also like the Military wives one which came out at chrimbo.

Its becoming increasingly rare these days to find people who don't instantly start moaning and complaining about the Christmas season - yes it gets dragged out, no I don't like the westernisation of obligatory present swapping, but that doesn't stop me from getting in the spirit and enjoying the holiday season.

Bloody old grumpy men :P

Got to admit the only things I dislike about Christmas are the songs, the rest I love. The longer it gets dragged out the better! The great food, parties, TV, presents, seeing friends & family you've not seen for ages (my family is spread all over the country), the midnight mass at church (my wife's a christian), the crowds in town doing the shopping in the bitter cold, I love it all.  :D

Quite agree, although i don't agree with christmas trees and decorations immediately after armistice day!
