Title: Advice on a horn!
Post by: Noj on 22 November 2013, 03:34:57 pm
Before any whit! I'm not referring to male impotence. :rolleyes
Having read many of the other post, I'm dreading to see the response that I may get from posting this.

I'm looking for a replacement horn for an FZ1 second-generation. I'm after the loudest humanly possible second to pay fog horn! :lol

Does anybody have any suggestions, guidance or links that may be of use?

Sorry not a FZ1 but FZS600 I fitted a stebel magnum-- not supper loud but far better thn standard and always makes the mot tester jump. Problem for the 600 is space, dont know if you have any more space for a bigger one, the next one up is a nautilus

Any aftermarket horn is going to be better then standard, but is almost definitly going to need a relay to handle the extra power. Check out Pats page for fitting instructions: http://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/dualhorninstallation.html (http://www.cartestsoftware.com/fz1/dualhorninstallation.html)

Thank you for the guidance, I have yet to get a horn! However I have got a HID kit to fit and I will fit a horn at the same time.
The relay installation is a must due to load demand for horn and lights.

If any of you think of anything else about loud horns, feel free to let me know.

The fitting diagrams are grate.
