Wow!! this shows hot spots / black spots...
as Speed Camera's are meant to be related to road safety it would be interesting it they published this with an overlay of where they were installed and colour coded it by year to see if they did actually reduce deaths!

They say it's more dangerous to ride on a sunday afternoon, I wonder if that's because more people ride then or if they've actually worked it out.
Still, every accident in my area has resulted in death of the rider, minor or no injury to the other party (if there was another party) :\

I remember a few of the ones in my local area but had no idea there had been that many within a few miles :( .
Think I'll stay in from now on!

You do realise that more people die in accidents in the home than out on the roads...?!

So many fatalities in my area were bikers, most car drivers involved were 60-80 odd, suprisingly few boy racers. Just goes to show that pensioners should be regularly assesed as they seem to play a part in the collisions even if they don't come off worse.

This is really interesting being able to click on the death and get more information
Thanks for sharing

could be that the actual accident wasn't the cause of the death but either set off a fatal heart attack or that if the injuries were severe then they weren't able to recover from them?

yeah I agree on that especially the time & date of accident to see if there are any trends for winter/summer day /night etc.

Governments crash map (http://www.crashmap.co.uk/Search)
Interesting to note that the scamra van locations don't match the locations of the accidents (at least round here). Proof that the scamra is just to make money.
