Title: Braided brake hoses
Post by: Gav on 08 November 2013, 08:59:27 pm
How come those braided hose kids don't put in a hose to go between the master cylinder and T piece.?
Only 2 hoses for the front ...T piece to calipers.

 :eek :eek :eek :eek
they give you the choice either a 3 line ( 1 to t then 2 to calipers) or a 2 piece thats one to each caliper from the m/c

I think the original set up looks neater, one hose coming from the handlebars......... wanna fight???   ;)

Ahh of course doh what a ding bat I am.  The front kits with 2 lines go direct to the m/c then on a double banjo.   Takes me a while sorry, especially after a couple of beers

Yeah, I'll be going for the 2 line kit when I strip and rebuild the front end over winter. I think the 2 line kit is neater, it's also cheaper and easier to bleed as there are less connections and places for air to get trapped  ;)

2-line "race" set up front-lighter, fewer connections, easy to bleed, looks good! just need to tie wrap the speedo sensor wire securely when removing splitter & bracket from lower fork yoke

What they said, except you can quite happily keep the bracket in place if you do so wish!

Which is what i did.
Mine was a bastard to bleed and i'm still not convinced its properly bleed, although i did some 70mph emergency stops pretty quickly.
Feels like there is more travel than before and the span setting is the same.
