Title: Changing the handlebars?
Post by: thunderpantz on 01 November 2013, 09:00:54 am
Hi all, thinking of changing the bars on the fzs600 to a set of renthals. How difficult is this to do for someone with limited bike knowledge?

Thanks in advance chaps

Easy enough, should only take 1/2 hour first time.
All you need is 4 and 6mm Allen keys, Phillips screwdriver, some electrical tape, and a small file.
Depending on how well glued on your left grip is, you might need a long thin screwdriver and a squirt of wd40 to release the glue.

Depends how 'properly' you want to do it-
Properly requires measuring and drilling of holes for the switchgear,
the quick way requires filing down locating pins on the switchgear and using double sided tape on the bars to stop them moving!
