Post by: spider on 31 October 2013, 10:57:57 am
on my travels the guy who done oil change said. great bike. your looking after it well. it a shame some part in the engine wears out through no fault of your own ? not shims. I have no idea what part or where the place was. anybody have an idea of what it was.

I know some folk have to replace cam chains as they start to rattle but plenty FZS600's with 60,70 even some with 100k on the clock and as far as I know nothing major goes with engine?

Have you checked the front sprocket nut? That's a regular culprit that still crops up occasionally.

The selector forks and drums are a normal problem causing it to jump out of 2nd and when it gets really bad 2nd is completely unusable.... Other than that FZS engines are pretty reliable
