Chassis& cycle parts is covered in haynes manual for the xj/fz600.

Fz400 was a grey import to uk,alledgedly one of the best handling bikes ever, certainly of that era.
if you need engine specifics i think you're going to be looking at a manual in Japanese. ;)

Errr..
In what way is it related to the Fazers apart from sharing a couple of letters and made by Yamaha?
Great-grandfather four times removed, methinks although perhaps I'm being a little harsh!

I would have thought FZR owners would be more interested in the old FZ's

In fairness, I've never seen the Fazer 400 called an FZS, but always an FZ400....

And that was the basis of our beloved boxeye!

OK, no. But still an FZ!

What happened to that American bloke with the Fazer FZ 750 who was on here a month or two ago?

Actually the American Fazer was an FZX, Although the Americans got the watered down 60bhp 700cc version whilst the rest of the work got the full on fire breather 92bhp version with the 20 valve FZ750 genesis motor in it, I had one of them and it went like stick but did not corner or stop!

FZX, I like the look of them, like a smaller V-Max
They also appear to update well, this guy's machine tempted me with upgraded front & rear ends
