Title: just which muppet designed the clutch?
Post by: sadlonelygit on 29 October 2013, 07:00:19 pm
Been fitting a new clutch and spent as much time trying to refit the cover as i did replacing the plates, scraping the old gasket, greasing the new one and having 5 brews. What a palaver!
And fyi, put the clutch cable through the bracket BEFORE bolting it onto the housing.
On the plus side, first gear is now just a barely perceptable snick

They weren't "special" brews were they? Ah, that explains a lot... :lol

My clutch cover took a couple of minutes to refit, if you line it up it goes on easily
