Tonight if your bike lives outside it will be blown over and tomorrow you will be crying and facing a hefty bill. Today is the day to make friends with someone who has a garage and beg or bribe him to take your pride and joy in for the night (or put it in the living room when the other half goes to bed.)

if you have to leave it out is to take off the sail / cover.No need, just recovered mine from the paddock at the riding stables next door. Wind had already removed the cover for me......

Did that here in Dorset a while ago......peeing it down now, wind not here yet! Fazer is tucked up in the garage but Blade has to stay out but its between the house and the garage so hopefully a bit protected but we do back onto woods and through the woods is the sea :'( :eek Gonna be an eventful night i think :rolleyes

That's it Loz, you got your priorities right - lovely Fazer in the garage, nasty, 'orrible H***a out where it belongs! :lollol, absolutely... although i will be pretty upset if anything does happen to the blade, i did consider bringing the Fazer into the house and bunging the blade in the garage but it would have meant the Fazer being in the conservatory which is a bit dodgy with the trees, wasnt prepared to take the risk :rolleyes

Exupnut - ah the old centre stand or side stand discussion. I've always thought it was more stable on the centre stand. One thing I would add - if you have to leave it out is to take off the sail / cover.

It's reasonably sheltered though and it's actually pretty secure on the rim, not budged at all in a couple of weeks and would take a lot to push it over - but am quite concerned nonetheless. Not a lot I can do though :'( Would've brought it into the living room if it were on 2 wheels. First time I've had the bike off the road like this and the worst storm in 25yrs comes along. Wish me luck!!!

Left home for work 20 minutes early just in case, and arrived at work 30 minutes early :lol
I was only 10 minutes late due to smoking 3 fags outside at 5am, looking at trees blowing etc and trying to make my mind up :rolleyes .
So is that 30 minutes earlier leaving for home or an extra coffee break before you start?

Took the bus into work as all south western trains were cancelled. Loads of debris and flooding on the roads. Interesting to see instances of freshly cut logs still lying by the road side, presumably to be collected later.
Saw one bike on the roads this morning: red and white CBR600 with similarly attired rider.

There's an asbo cat (I assume it's a cat... hope so anyway) that always plops in the same spot by the shed, even that stayed put, the least the storm could've done was wash it away or blow it into the neighbour's garden. Disappointed.
