Hello, this i the second fzs 600 i've bougfht, but it has a carb restrictor kit '33bhp' How do i remove it? Its the earlier version with the rectangular headlights. Am i correct in assuming only one headlight comes on in dip mode?
-
Hi If its same restrictor that was fitted to my other halfs fazer box eye its 4 large washers fitted in the inlet rubbers on each carb
and yes only one head light but there is a mod on here to light both up
-
The guy i bought it from seemed to think it was washers in the carb tops?
-
do you have the manufacturers paper work or name whos kit it is ???????
-
I am sure I have seen on here another, maybe proper yam kit, mentioned
think it involved different size jets, stiffer springs and plates for the diaphrams
So parts needed if it was done this way.
ChristoT's was like this, red98 is breaking ChristoT's bike

So do you literally just remove the washers or is there more to it?

Thats a F1 International part number, they are just washers with a hole or two, (F1 call them blades) they are in the inlet manifold between the Carburettors and the Cylinder head.

No you will need to loosen the Airbox. It has 3 bolts. One behind each of the side panels and one at the top of the air box under the tank. You will have to remove the battery to pull back the airbox.

As per above you MIGHT have to remove the airbox, depending on the size of your hands.. ;)
This vid will give you a general idea of what your looking for.

Nice straight forward job of pulling carbs back and pulling out restrictor blades from carb rubbers. Job done :thumbup
