Title: Sprockets and stuff
Post by: 1967fazer on 02 December 2011, 01:29:02 pm: Can anyone tell me the standard sizes are for the front and rear sprockets on a 5lv and also if its best to change the front or the rear? I think some one mentioned having to fit a speedo corrector thingy when you put different sized sprockets on, is this correct?

Changing the sprocket sizes will affect speedo accuracy. You can fit a correction device if you wish. See Pat's Site re the Yellow Box installation. :)

I got the original gag, Dekker. Just twisted it a bit for the comeback. :)

November was unusually rainy so my riding took a hit. Looking better for next week, though. ;)

You might have already tried this, but the chain may be long enough if you fit it over the rear sprocket before sliding the wheel spindle through.
