Dear oh dear.
-
I quite like the blue one :o
-
Although I'm not overly keen on the flame effect, the silver does tie in nicely with a silver engine. A lot of bike for the money again, but I wonder how reliable it would be with that kind of tune-up? At least the seller is sensible enough to realise he's not going to get back what he spent on it!
-
One word I think applies to both examples:-
Vile.
-
It would not take much to make the blue one nice, a desent spray job, but like nick says would it be reliable. the red one :eek
-
yes I bid on it didn't win but its still on ebay mmm :rolleyes something funny or not ;)
-

Done properly - which a Farnham tune would be - it would not be an issue. Possibly even more reliable. The power comes from improving gas flow and making the motor more efficient. The bottom end is strong enough to take it, no problems.
My own motor makes around 140bhp and that's without flowing the heads or dialling-in the cams. Sound as a pound. :)

The blue one has been for sale since August,

I don't see how failing to appreciate a dogs dinner makes me a stick in the mud. I'm sure most people don't think those machines look as good as a standard Fazer which is why most owners don't subject their machines to ugly toffee wrapper paint jobs and lazy anodising (only doing the bits that can be unbolted with minimal hassle,-lazy) I won't comment on the fairing, its naffness speaks for itself.
Someone said 'each to his own' which is true of course and I didn't dispute that, but doing your own thing has no automatic connection with good taste -or lack of. Bikes for chavs.
-
Bolt on anodised bits is one of my pet hates too.
"Diversity of opinion about a work of art shows that the work is new, complex and vital. When critics disagree, the artist is in accord with himself."

If you don't like the look of it the easy answer is 'don't do it to yours' instead of 'sod it I'll just slag it off'.
Not my cup of tea but can appreciate the work gone into it.

It was more fun to slag it off.
I'm the AA Gill of motorcycling, lol.

How can anyone can think those bikes are tacky, dogs dinners & in bad taste when there's things like this out there?
Those of a sensitive or aesthetic disposition should look away now!

:eek
Apparently it was won in a raffle, I can only assume it was the booby prize. :D
