Lew it's a pub close to me, Bridgend South Wales, we do get quite a few Irish visitors as the Fishguard ferry is a popular crossing.

FZS600 Fazer / Fairing fasteners
« on: 04 June 2017, 08:17:36 am »
Morning all, one of my plastic fairing fasteners has gone walkies, the ones that secure the infill panel. I've done the usual search on ebay but can't find them, does anyone have a web link they can share or have one or two (always good to have a spare) knocking around that i could buy. Thanks in advance for any help  :thumbup

He,he,he, well spotted! In my defence it's a red Fazer and we all know they are the fastest and capable of travelling forwards and backwards in time.....which is exactly.what happened😉

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Silent Sprockets, worth fitting?
« on: 29 March 2017, 08:35:13 am »
Hi Bimbam, i sourced them off ebay, just searched for C&S set and the silent set came up along with the normal sets, about £30 more. For the improvment it's made to my bike it was worth the extra, i'll try to post the link later.

So, after much waiting around for some sunshine to test the 'silent' sprocket set with new chain i eventually made it out for a blast over the weekend.
Now i know my old set on the bike were knackered so anything would have been an improvement, but these are great, no more whiney gear box caused by uneven pressure on the output shaft, smoother gear change and no more vibrations from the footpegs, great result. Happy riding all  :thumbup

Thanks for the replies chaps, i'd never come across them either but they popped up during an internet search. I agree a good set of well maintained standard C&S is quiet but i thought it would be worth a look.
Since i've owned my bike the chain has required regular fettling so i decided to change the lot to put my mind at ease, if i go with the cushioned sprockets i'll post some feedback, positive or negative.
Happy riding all  :thumbup

FZS600 Fazer / Silent Sprockets, worth fitting?
« on: 12 March 2017, 08:22:09 am »
Morning all, i'm about to replace my chain & sprockets and thinking about getting a silent set with cushioned sprockets. Has anybody fitted them to their machines and did it make a significant difference, thanks in advance for any info. Happy riding all  :thumbup

Thanks for taking the time to put up some photos Noggy, I know what you mean i tried some on over the weekend in local shops and sitting on the bike would of cut the circulation off to my feet!!...all muscle obviously  :lol  not to mention riding up my leg exposing half my calf, which would be no good should i come off  :eek .....I'll let you know if i can get over to take a look.

Thanks for the link Tmation, i'll take a look.

He, he, Fazersharp i'd probably fit into his no problem but they all seem to come in Kawasaki green  :rolleyes

Last month I fitted a Delkavic oval can which I'm really pleased with, like you just wanted a better sound from the bike without being anti social. Great looking can and good quality at a reasonable price £129ish, bolted straight on, oh had to order a link pipe £30  :)

Forgot to add during part of the journey to Chepstow Racecourse i was alongside a very nice Motoguzzi, looked just like esetest machine, with the Mrs on the back.
Unfortunately couldn't make it this year , the downside of shift work .
