Now, y'see, for me, a night with the stars involves a deckchair, a thermos of coffee, a clear night and a star map. Ooh, look, there's Orion!  :lol

racers are excellent on the track...don't mean they are any fun speaking at expensive dinners...
probably most who go aint actually bikers , maybe corporate tickets etc.

I would go if it was in aid of charity and tickets were maybe less than half that ...

but that aint gonna happen. :\

You're very right Jon. I certainly wouldn't pay that amount if given the choice, though most of the Barry Sheene dinners I've attended to have been very entertaining, though Stavros (Steve Parrish) does like to whittle on a bit.

As I say I'm only going to take photos of the event and I'm lucky that dinner is chucked in as well. Billy McConnell and his Mrs Hayley are friends of mine as are some of the folks that work at FWR tyres so at least if the BSB celeb chat is boring I'll be amongst friends.

PS Most people should have heard of Troy Corser if you're in to racing and Mike Edwards is a winner or the North West 200.

They were the only two which triggered something in the deep chasm of my head that should obviously be filled with racing  :D
