www.scorpio-electronics.co.uk/ and they also have facebook page Scorpio Electronics. I know with mine it took nearly six months to sortI'd clean contacts plugs etc and would work for 20 mins or maybe a couple of weeks then flicker fade again. Even had to use sat nav as speedo if I was going any distance. If I remember the red/white wire carries the switched 12v and I that one I prized the contacts out of both sides and conected them in a choc block connector. Is yours round of fz1 type clock?

Its just trying to keep those catches in. Is that the plug under the left hand fairing cover? Had this problem on mine (08 FZ6 ) Flickering and fading out all together. You would clean plugs/ connectors and would be ok for a short while then start its tricks again. In the end bought a second hand unit and worked ok but must have been of european import cos would not switch from KM to MPH. Got refund on that and I then knew it was defo unit as when I reconnected my old one it was faded again. Found an advert on Ebay for a repair service, not there now but it was Scorpio Electronics Kings Lynn Cost about £180 with 12 months full warrenty. There was also furring on ECU connections Under tank towards back. Hope you sort it out.

It might be worth checking ignition switch and transceiver connections, you will need to lift front of tank and can see connectors down there ( follow leads from switch). I've been having problems with speedo etc and mostly found dirty damp connectors causing intermittent faults. have you got red key to reprogram key codes

Have cleaned connectors on ECU and plug and sockets under left side fairings and connector on instrument head. stripped instrument head and could see no water ingress. The -ve feed wire black/white on the 5 way block was definately loose. Have removed this from connectors and connected thro a chocolate block. All instruments are now working. if I leave bike ticking over even as long as temp rises and cooling fan kicks in no problems, if I go out on road after about 5/10 miles panel fades down to about half brightness and then starts to go slowly between full and medium brightness.

« on: 13 February 2016, 11:26:13 am »
Just started bike after 3 months standing outside covered up. Noticed red led not flashing so I thought battery was flat but bike does starst and run. When you turn ignition on rev counter does not swing around and no display on other screen. Engine starts and runs but no rev counter movement and engine management and high temp lights come on. Any ideas

There's a straight at least half a mile long going towards the front of the car, also speed camera van is often parked just by there.

Got this from Routh Clark Solicitors siteMotorcycle MOT Every vehicle that is 3 or more years old requires an MOT certificate to be used on the road.  It is an offence to use a motor vehicle on the road without a valid MOT. Any police officer who has reasonable cause to believe you were riding a motorcycle and have either been involved in an accident or committed an offence is entitled to ask you to produce your motorcycle MOT.
Your MOT is only a certificate that the motorcycle was roadworthy on the day of the test.  You cannot wave it at the police if they subsequently charge you with using an unroadworthy vehicle and expect to get away with it.  Your obligation is to keep your vehicle roadworthy at all times.
What am I looking at? If you ride on the road without a valid MOT certificate you are looking at a fine up to £1,000, but no points.  However, no MOT means that your insurance is invalidated so you are probably going to be prosecuted for this also.   No insurance carries a fine, points, possible disqualification or other sentence.
The police do not have to issue an NIP and have 6 months from the offence to issue a summons.

I think this would void your insurance and if spotted by a jobsworth it could involve having your bike siezed or worse if involved in an accident even if not your fault.

If the outside line goes to that socket that is the master socket and is the responsability of phone company
On bt lines dial 17070 press 1 and hang up should ring back ( I think this works on most lines)

If phone not ringing from skt inside master skt most likely line fault

Do'nt for get if line is broadband enabled you will need to insert filter
