I was planning to do a oil, oil filter, plugs and filter change.
Then give the exhaust a coat of paint and check all fluids grease and clean everything as it's my daily commute.
If you just bought the bike, that's what I would do too for peace of mind even if the last owner said they did it. If you are replacing the air filter, get a K&N one.
While the oil is draining, do the plugs and while you are at it, check and clean the chain. Adjust your tyre pressures too and that's all the basics done and you are ready for road.
If you set aside an hour on each weekend, You can tip away with other little stuff. Download the service manual or the Haynes manual from the website here and you can check through all the other periodic maintenance to do.
