Will it do to paint the exhaust pipes as well? Mine are a bit rusty at the front where they come from the cylinders.

Welcome M8 - bike looks in very good condition. Have lots of enjoyable riding on it I'm sure. Had my FZ6 for about 5 weeks now.

No sympathy for them at all. They knew what they were doing. Good job they were caught before an accident happened and people were hurt or lives lost.  :lol

Too old? Hang on - I'm 13 years older and just come back after a 19 year break. Longed for a bike again every day & great to be back. Hope to keep it until I leave this world for a better place. If Heaven is perfect bikes will be there too!  :lol

Recon you have the best idea - don't come off in the first place.  ;)

Tried that first but would not download for some unknown reason - hence Amazon / Haynes.

These panniers look very good, especially the price Amazon are selling them for.

How about security though? I assume there is no way of locking the compartments. I would not like to leave my helmet in one if it could be opened easily. Look great for just carrying stuff from one place to another though.

I live near near Fareham, Hampshire. A lot of our new neighbours are on talktalk as well.  Apparently they have just had new equipment in the local exchange which has resulted in excellent speeds (internet - not bike! :) ).

In the past I have had several occasions to phone up their help line and have very good service there too.
(I'm not getting paid to say this!!!!)

Welcome back at last. I moved a few months ago - been with talktalk for a few years now & they couldn't have handled things better.

Got the Haynes manual off ebay at reasonable price. Very pleased with it.  :)

I've still got a pair of leather mits (wool lined) which I've had since my early days of riding in the mid 60s. Much warmer than gloves, even when water leaks through in really bad weather.

It had to happen sooner or later.  :eek  After 3 weeks of riding my FZ6 I dropped it doing a very slow u turn at the end of a dead end road!
My pride was damaged, but that was all, and nobody saw it.

Fortunately I was browsing the web a few weeks ago and came across this video which I guess many must have seen.

How to pick up your motorcycle

Put the bike in gear, side stand down & the rest is surprisingly easy.  :D Don't think I could have lifted it otherwise. Hope someone else finds this helpful too.

Nice looking bike. Much more satisfaction if you can do the job yourself as well as saving the pennies. Happy biking.

Hi mate - welcome.
Similar to  yourself I'm back after a 19 year break. Had bikes most of my life up to then, mostly old British ones. Then rising costs forced me off the road. Bought a FZ6 off my brother in law a few weeks ago & really enjoying it. Have found  people very friendly on this site and  had several questions answered without delay. Best wishes.

That's right - Aerial, BSA, Villiers, Panther, and all the others I had used different oil for engine & gearbox. Gear oil was heaver.

I'm near Fareham, Hants.
