Hi there and welcome to the loony bin

The easy way of adding a picture is to click on the "additional Options..." under where you enter text, then the Browse button for Attach, find you picture file ... and you're sorted

The way to avoid giving Farjo a hernia is to use the Aeva Media  button (Just above the  8) on the smiley bar). Then use to upload the piccies!  :)

I think it has something about reducing load on the server, making threads load faster and making the files easier to find at a later date. I think. Ask Farjo for more info!  :lol

Honestly no idea so this is merely speculation but;

I believe the Aeva Media is a plugin for the SMF board which allows better categorisation and management of uploaded pictures and integrates them in to the gallery.

Essentially, attached pictures are just attached to an individual post in a thread. The Aeva uploaded ones can also be found in the Media Gallery (see link at the top of the page)

Pretty sure there is no load / performance benefit

Can anyone help me use this aeva way instead of the traditional additional options method.

When i go to aeva button & upload then the pics seem to dissapear somewhere & i cant figure out how to get them on to the post.

So if I'm not bothered about my pics going into Gallery, I'll just carry on attaching for a particular thread...

Oh you're so kind. But if you take out the word "idiot", it doesn't make much sense... ;)
