I saw this and thought it might suit you, as it's in Falkirk and it's the best colour I would offer £2000http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/yamaha-fazer-1000-from-2004-ready-to-go/1055119935
I saw this one - It's up in elgin. Not too far from inverness. Looks like a good one with low mileage. You should et it cheap as its up north. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-Fazer-fzs-1000-02-9294-miles-no-reserve-/121308653887?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item1c3e8f293f
Have a look at the link i sent regarding sadlonelygit's bike.
hopefully going to look at a Fazer tomorrow/wednesday night Standard apart from a Hagon shock, and a topbox. Is there any difference between the FZS1000 with the "Fazer" sticker on the fairing, and the ones with "FZ1" sticker on it - or are these bike from the transition from gen1-gen2?

That is definitely an import. It will have mph clocks as its american. It looks like a plastic sticker thats been added to the caliper.
If you take a note of the frame no and contact Yamaha Uk they will tell you which country it originates from. I bought an import a few years ago and they were very helpful. Turns out it was from France!
