to me
Hi Luke, received kit last Friday, fitted it and have done a few hundred miles now. Just what was needed......front and rear suspension now works together Instead of against each other......bike holds a line and is generally much better. Cheers mate, money very well spent. Rory.

Hi,

Still finding me feet in here after just having got an FZ8.

This question has probably been asked a million times already (not trawling 16 pages to find out) but will the R6 shock fit the FZ8 without major modifications ?

I would ask in the FZ8 section but my question might get lost in amoungst the tumbleweeds..    :lol

thanks..

Got it, dog bones look great as does shock, was there meant to be spacers with it?
A job for xmas holidays now....  :)

Edit: Doh! Just spotted the spacers are stuck on the bush....

Another success story with the R6 shock upgrade. Fitted mine today.
Its light years ahead of the std shock (mine with heavier spring fitted), and like someone else on this site mentioned the rebound was all or nothing, mine was all and crashing over bumps having to put up with it so she wouldn't wallow around and want to run wide.
Bumps are now properly absorbed and the steering is far better. The bike fells lighter to ride, drops into corners more willingly and much more confidence inspiring.
Sent Monday courier attempted del Friday to OZ but no one home cause didn't expect it that quickly so redirected to work.
I'm not the best at wheelies but tried a couple of small clutch ups in 1st and the bikes front wheel comes up much easier  :lol - and not coming up to quickly or not at all, like it was before.

Thanks for the kit Devilsyam, clear photo instructions included made it a straight forward job.

Bloody hell! How can the whole of OZ all be out at the same time??????

You've done better than me Camshaft, mine just sent across uk on same day and I'm still getting it in the ear to move it off the kitchen counter, sod fitting it, too cold out there and too pretty to get it dirty.  :lol

just looking through a few back posts im getting that the dogbones with the r6 shock at 130 centres is standard ride height, 126 centres should lift the height 25mm. can anyone confirm this?
