The pilots had another couple of Australian chicks in the cockpit, it's named that for a reason you know. Anyway one thing lead to another and before they knew it the fuel ran out and that was that.

Help, I have a datatool red 3 alarm on my FZ1. It was on the bike when purchased. The alarm started playing up two weeks ago, it would not disarm. It worked fine again for a couple of weeks but now will not disarm at all. The fob has a new battery, any ideas ?

General / How much for a service ?
« on: 23 February 2014, 09:16:55 am »
Fellow Foca's I popped into my local bike dealer, St Neots, Cambridgshire and asked how much for a basic service on my 2006 FZ1 Fazer. £250 quid was the reply !!!!!  Oil and filter, check the brakes, copper slip grease and check the bike over, 2 to 3 hours work.
Is it just me or is that taking the piss. Any ideas on a better ( cheaper ) to get a service.

Your views ?

Cheers Bubs

I'm looking to get a carbon fibre fender extender for my FZ1 Fazer, any suggestions of where to source. Looked on ebay but they appear to be from either Spain or America.

There is no such thing as a mid life crises, my old manager told me it was when you stopped w+++king for a week. Anyway biking is biking no matter how long or little time you have ridden or the gaps between. Just ride and enjoy. :)

It sounds wicked on the overrun, so all good,  on my old FSZ1000 the exup was before the can fitment, the OE on the FZ1 is part of the exhaust, I'm happy as it is now,
Cheers for the replies  :) :)

« on: 29 July 2013, 08:52:56 am »
Morning, Bubs here from sunny St Neots, Cambs. Had to sell my FSZ1000 in 2010 to buy my house. Now I am the proud owner of a FZ1 Fazer in red with a wicked Akropovic which sounds awsome. Back in the saddle at last and totally loving it, rode the bike back from Kent last Wednesday with a stop at the Ace cafe. Am never ever being without a bike again !!!!!! :D :D :D

PS how do you up load a picture of your bike ? cheers

Hi I have just purchased a 2006 FZ1, love the bike. The bike has a Akropovic exhaust fitted and came with the original Yamaha exhaust. I noticed that the original has an exhaust power valve, while the Akropovic does not, does this effect the bike ?

Cheers Bubs :eek
