...  they said no cure may go on its own and gave me 100 more pain killers 8-a day, ...
I suggest you talk to a physio or chiropractor to get to the root of the issue.
best advice so far but forget physio go see a chiropractor, ok you have to pay & they can be expensive. SWMBO had a bad back for years, went to doc's all they do is throw painkillers at you but there's only so many of them you can take. she tried physio for a long time that didn't any good, ended up going to a chiropractor, turns out she had a curve in her spine possibly caused many years earlier when she gave birth to our youngest daughter. the chiropractor was able to manipulate her spine back into the correct position, it took quite a few sessions but it sorted her back out.

Pffft, I know bugger all about engines, and I have massive hands that are shit at getting into tight spaces. I'd rather leave that up to someone who has the space, time and knowledge
and your £250...if all they do is oil & filter change, check & or replace brake pads + new plugs, i'm really neanderthal  when it comes to mechanics but all of these jobs are/seem quite straight forward.

yeah nowt wrong with kids on bikes if they're wearing the correct gear and the bike is suitable to carry children. but the bike in question as far as i can see isn't even equipped to carry a pillion & as goldfazer said the kids usin the mudguard as a footrest. if they were having a little bimble  round the local park it would probably deemed acceptable, but the daft cnut is riding down the M1 with what looks like a 6 year old kid on the back, maybe its me gettin owd but it aint rite.

« on: 24 July 2012, 08:14:32 pm »
thanks for the replys they're much appreciated, i think the power loss occured in 4th gear around 7k- 8k rpm so today i took it to 9k rpm in 4th gear without any problems at all "smooth as ever" :D so the problem whatever it is is intermittent. i service the ex-up twice a year, only did it last week, it was free & easy just as it should be. As for the the plugs :o , i bought an AIS kit off justy & was going to replace plugs when i removed the AIS, just haven't got round to it yet, so ive had the bike 3 years come november so god knows how long those plugs have been in. i hope the above will help, obviously i need to get the plugs replaced, i'm off work for a couple of weeks i'll put it top of my "to do" list.......thanks Alan.

« on: 23 July 2012, 09:39:45 pm »
its only happened twice but in the last week ive had a loss of power both times it was in 4th or 5th gear while givin it abit of a handfull. when i say loss of power i mean a split second loss, in the blink of an eye the power goes & comes back, it happens so quickly i dont even get chance to back the throttle off. but i can physically feel the front of the bike dive at the front, apart from that the bike runs sweet as a nut, starts first every time.its 51 gen 1, done 26k miles & ivanised by mike in 2010.

Yeahbut surely a years subscription to the AA/RAC/Greenflag/etc.  has to be a lot cheaper than running even a cheap van, MOT/tax/insurance etc.

And that's not even factoring in the annual cost of running a wife to drive it...  ;)
:agree

but the point is he has'nt done his time less than half if we're led to believe, he should have got alot more than 7 years but then i speak as a father & grandfather, if it had been my kids i'd have wanted him locked up for life. but would we be having this conversation if say he was a bricklayer or a painter & decorator, are the objections because he's going to be playing football or because he's going to be earning loads of money, me thinks its more to do with the money than the football. but my thoughts are with the parents & fully understand where they're coming from.

i tried the htc sensation but the audio was shite so i sent it back & got the iphone 4 & very happy with it. £20 a month with tesco mobile no other provider could come close to that, also what i really like about the iphone 4 is the facetime on it, its  the same as skype but only works iphone to iphone.
