Electrical speedo cable from front wheel?
« on: 05 July 2015, 04:31:59 pm »
On an 02 fox eye does anyone know what the speedo plug and socket in the plastic box under the tank looks like?  Could someone describe it. I.E. shape and colour, I think my one may have a non standard one fitted. Many Thanks!

Not taken tank off to check but I think it is a different style from anything else on the bike.  Normally if the plug only needs 3 contacts they use a square 4 pin connector but leave one of the pins out but the speedo drive one has the 3 pins in a triangle with no space for a fourth pin.

Many Thanks! I was afraid my one was botched to fit a box to cheat the K.P.H. speedo to M.P.H. But the cheat box has the correct original plug and socket on each end and simply links in!  Well impressed, easily removed if required and all remains standard.
