Charging tails
« on: 21 February 2013, 06:50:27 pm »
Curious.....

I've purchased one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120982024691?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I'm wondering if I wire up a plug to a battery charger if this will trickle charge using the socket as a power input rather than an output ?

Or should I get something like the following:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTORBIKE-BATTERY-CHARGER-CONNECTOR-LEAD-RING-TERMINALS-/310605589036?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4851892a2c

I'm worried about water ingress in to the connector, but with my new heated grips, usb plugs and alarm I want to keep the battery topped up.

Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one.  Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.

It will work either way. No need to get another connector if you need to!

Try and get a connector with a cap that snaps back, it will help with water ingress.
