No air leaks ta all, carb inlets are new. Pilot screw adjusted,by ear and even with cylinder tacho but nothing change. Carb cleaned 3 times. They are in mint condition now..except one pilot screw i manage to snap... The only thing i havent adjust was the float heights....and maybe i souldnt.... Plugs and plugs caps replaced, first and secong coil resitance checked, tps resistance checked. K&n air filter super clean and oiled.Carbs synced.....and everything i read that might cause the problem..... Now i have one extra problem to solve..... I am thinking of buying some spare carbs.... Two mechanics have check my bike, without solution..

I took out my carbs yesterday,to adjust the float heights, because of a long time idle-3k rpm stutter. I find it realy hard to adjust them with the clear hose method... I adjust them(at least i thought) and put carbs back in.......and guess what.....The bike runs like *@$#$@ It didnt improve the low stutter, and now the engine refuse to go over 6-7 rpm with load..... I have done everything 9-10 months i am searching for the problem,EVERYTHING i have read here:plugs, plugs caps, carb cleaning, testing coils, tps and much more... I am so sick of this....

I hope that i dont hijack the thread... Today i open the valve cover to check the camsaft timing marks, and this is what i saw: The first is the exhaust cam and the second is the intake. Both are out of alignment but intake is more.... The camchain tensioner is at the last click i think...but i cant afford a camchain replacement now... Is there any way to solve this and what have caused this??? Thanks foccers...

Nick, If i remember well the oem bolts are 8 grade, wich is the equivalent of 10.9 in metric system. Of cource we can use titanium bolts but the price is prohibitive.

Because i recently change them, the bolts are M10 x 1.25. The manual says M8 but its wrong. I used 10.9 metric(which is 8 grade american).DOnt use soft bolts there! Hope it helps!

I found that i have coolant leaking from the thermostat. Coolant leaking exactly from the under bolt that hold the the thermostat housing. So anyone had the same problem? My mind goes to the o-ring between those parts...but where i can find one....

Hi focs! After buying and installing a new gauge with temperature bar gauge,i try to connect it with the engine temperature sensor, at the thermostat(the one with only one plug),but i dont get any readings. As i check the manual,it refers to it like a "switch",so i think, that it only trigger the warning led ,under certain temperature.Correct if i am wrong. So i am looking for a proper water sensor and i would like to know what the sensors threads are? Anybody??Thanks!!!

Let me ask something. The oem coils, feed plugs 1 and 3 and the second feed plugs 2 and 4. On the diagram you have draw the pairs are 1 and 4 ,2 and 3. Isn't this wrong?
Overall nice mod. Any difference spotted?

So just an update. I find out that my ht leads arcing. Is there any way to fix this, exept from buying new coils? Anyway to seal them or just to replace ht leads only? I know that they are moulted in to the coils but there has to be a way for this...

ok,lets see all the things until now... What problems and syptoms i have: -Erattic idle. -difficult start. -Low rev stuttering, bellow 3k with steady throttle, no prob when accelerating..Things i have done so far:-Two times carbs off and cleaned.-every day carb sync -mixture adjust,2, 2 1/4, 2 1/2. -spark plug change. -check spark plugs. -check resistances in everything. -no air leaks and others little checks... nothing solve the prob, nothing out of specs. i am out of ideas.... i will go to my mechanic for more check i think... Any ideas are allways welcome focers PS: I just remember now that one year back, when i once tried to turn on the engine something blow out with smoke, from the back of the seat. Back then i didint search it more(my bad,i know) but the problems i have, were allready there, before this. Anyway everything works the same.Still try to guess what the foc was that

Thanks a lot for your time and help peteski! All of my pilot jets are absolutely fine....i am allmost sure that its not a carb problem anymore... I follow your instructions today, about the spark plugs etc... I swap the cyl1 spark plug to cyl2,now i think that the downpipes get hot all together, still no so sure though. But the problem its still there. I also check the coils resistance, first and secondary, tps and all are in specs. I have allready change the spark plug caps to ngk sd05f(no diffrence),but as i saw today they are 5k resistance, and yams are 10k. I dont know if this cause any further problem, but nothing have change after all these changes and checks... I am starting to think valve clearence...
