Well i must say I belong to this club and so far it has been absolutely excellent!!...I am well pleased to have joined and am amazed at the responses i am getting to posts I contribute to. I also belong to the Bandit Owners Club but it seems very quiet on there at the moment for some reason. Its also a great club but i must say.....I am getting more out of belonging to the Fazer Owners Club!! Well Done You!....

Thanks for the replies guys. I will be up for a meet or two as soon as i can get this fookin bike back together and my leg settles down otherwise it'll be by car......which kind of defeats the object of a bike club......but i suppose this time of the year its warm and dry by car!!.... This weekend, i am taking a mate down to Devon to pick up a very nice 1000 Fazer and i expect he would be up for a meet as well!..

Anyone around Lymington Hants for a monthly meet? I live in Lymington and am still quite new to the club and as yet still not ridden the Fazer due to having a busted leg at first but also the bike i bought was absolutely desperate for chain and sprockets which i am almost finished with now. I had 2 nuts on the rear sprocket which were seized so i am replacing all of them. There are a few good pubs here in Lymington serving good food and good beer (even though we can't drink much and ride) but there is one on the A337 near Pennington Cross with sofa's and would i am sure welcome the additional customers. In the warmer weather there is also a nice outside area. If there are a few people up for a meet at some point in the near future then i would be pleased to meet up. Nothing formal, just a drink and a natter.Rich.

Started my bike riding in 1974 with a Raleigh Runabout but quickly went on to being a telegraph boy on the gpo and doing 34000 miles in 2.5 years on a Puch 2 geared thing capable of the amazing speed of 36mph down hill with the wind up yer arse!!...lol I passed my motorbike test on a Suzuki 125 twin Stinger in 1976 but passed my moped test (yes had to do that for the gpo) in 1975 on the post office Puch 50!...eugh!!. At least back then there was no cbt and the likes and just 2 parts to the test (written and practical).

Now that's a nice CBX
Thanks for that mate!..Hours of work into that as was an absolute wreck when i got it. I didn't run, the paintwork was awful and there was rust in the brakes. I ended up rebuilding the inboard discs completely without even knowing anything about them. The bike ended up with another engine as the first one had 63000 on it. The one i fitted had 21000 on it but was sound as a pound. All the paintwork i did myself.....well actually i did everything to it!!...Lol Fantastic job to do though. I even found a fairing on ebay for her as she was a naked bike originally....Here's another piccie....

Ok, i'll start!....Back in 1974/1976 i had 2 Raleigh runnabout mopeds, a Raleigh Wisp, and following those was my first bigger bike, a 125 Stinger twin Suzuki. In 1977 sold the Stinger to a mate and bought a year old 250GT Suzuki with Ram Air (whatever the hell that was) but loved it. The reg number was OCG940P and she only had about 2000 on her when i had to sell her on. I kept her for just a year because the insurance had rocketed up in price to £100 for the year and i was devastated that i couldn't afford to insure her for the next year. It stopped me riding bikes for 25 years for some reason....I came back some 8 years ago with a little CB250RS Honda which kept breaking down so i bought another RS to repair the first one only to end up totally restoring her and selling it on. I then had to buy another RS to repair the first one. I still have both of those in bits ready for restoration. A close neighbour saw me one day and asked if i fancied another bike? It was a red CD175 in basket case condition for bugger all, and of course i said Mmmm, yes please. Oh dear......still got that one too! I was looking on ebay one day and fell for this pile of crap CBX550 in a just running condition in Essex (concidering i live in Lymington Hants 100 miles away) so bought that for a song and almost completely restored that as well costing me around £600. I sold that to a guy in Ireland and as far as i am aware, he still has it! The next one was a Suzuki Bandit 600. Loved it loved it loved it!!!..Took it to France and Spain in 2008 and did a 1700 mile trip in 6 days. When i got back, i was longing for something with a bit more power and started looking for 1200 Bandit and instead ended up with another bit of a wreck....Like a magnet for wrecks!!..... I found a Triumph 955i Sprint ST which had been dropped on a guys front foot path smashing the side and nose fairing. I bought it for £1200, spent about £150 on it and about 90 hrs of labour...sold her for £1900 looking beautiful. That was another seriously fast machine. The next one was a 1200 Bandit which had been stored for at least 2 years going nowhere but with less than 7000 miles was a bargain at £1500. Held onto her for 2 years and sold her on with 14000 miles to buy another 1200 Bandit on a 03 plate with a genuine 5124 miles from new in imaculate condition. I managed to drop it twice! Both times at 0 mph and the second time it broke my leg so sold her on again.......only to buy....Ta Da..My first 600 Fazer! Present bike, and due my leg being bad still and it needing chain and sprockets that i cant get down to do, I still haven't ridden it more that 3/4 mile!! Longing to ride it. Sorry about all the dribble!
