Hi mate. That bike looks really nice!..Definately the best colour. A mate of mine here in Lymington has one identical to yours, his name is also Andy and he also rides a Bandit 1200....Oh...and a Harley 1200 for fun. Seems crazy really as his bike also has the chop job under the seat and small dark glass indicators....Is that you Olly?...

I had a 1200S Bandit and to be honest i loved it!...the only problem i had was when the bloody thing fell on my leg and broke the bugger!...i now have a 600 fazer and its the beeez sphericals. Beautifully light and still a quick little bike. All i want now is the summer back that i have just totally wasted by having a metal pin fitted down my tibia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me to be your rocker cover gasket leaking mate. Have a look on ebay. Look for your Fazer size and year and get yourself a replacement.

Sounds really nasty mate but it must have taught you a lesson in a way, and that would be to concentrate on your enviroment and how you are handling it. I had a nasty accident when my bike fell on me and badly broke my right leg through....you got it!....not concentrating on what i was doing. Its cost me around £5000 so far in lost earnings, medication, repairs to the bike, loss of profit on the bike because i got her to an immaculate condition before dropping it and also in the end has cost me my job as i wasn't fast enough any longer to continue with it. Just for a lack of concentration....as you say my friend, shit happens!

Fuck me!....I am so glad you have got a solicitor involved mate cos that would have been my worst nightmare! The customer relations seem to be totally non-existant. As for the twat who was supposed to pick you up and take you and bike to the bike shop, what fookin planet did he come from?...To not take care in loading and unloading the bike from his 'FLAT BED' truck and now damaging your paintwork in addition to the rest of the damage caused by the other cnut......has he a death wish as well???????....You should have at least have been supplied with another bike while yours is being sorted out and not fobbed off with excuse after excuse about not getting emails/faxes. They will not be getting a renewal from me next year and i always used to think highly of them!....Good luck getting it sorted out my friend! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Hope you and your bike were ok mate? I had a bad off at 0 mph with the bike falling on my right leg badly breaking it and that i admit was completely my own cock up due to being in 2nd gear instead of first and stalling the fookin thing!....By the way, where's your leathers??? Come off at any speed and say hello to you own bones as they come through your skin and jeans!... Ride safe my friend.

Mmmmm...........Makes you think whats best!..Ive been with the RAC for the last 5 years and used their services on 2 ocasions with the car and one with the bike. I broke down with the bike and when the mechanic looked at it, he gave me the wrong advice which i am glad to say i didnt listen to. When the car broke down, he mechanic couldnt have been more helpful if he tried! Brilliant service!...
The mechanic (loosely termed) who collected your bike mate was obviously have a really bad day and didnt want to lose your bike off the back of his truck. This is by no means any excuse to completely fuck your handlebars, switches and levers. The loose term of 'its your responsibility once collected by the RAC' can not be used as a full excuse for the damage to you motorcycle as it could be termed as 'unnecessary excess force' to secure the bike. This is a definate situation where you can sue the RAC for the damage. Go to citizens advice or get a solicitors letter for backup. The letter might cost you £25.00 but this you can also claim back.
Pay your rent mate and keep the roof over your head but start the ball rolling with a call to the solicitors!..

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: FZS 1000
« on: 13 October 2012, 12:06:34 pm »
Hi mate. I had a Bandit 1200 which when loaded was anything up to 265 kg! That was too much for me so i bought the 600 Fazer. Bandit 1200-97bhp standard with 76 lbs torque, Fazer 600-95bhp standard with i believe, 43 lbs torque. The Fazer 1000 is 143 bhp standard and that just show the engine difference alone makes it worth while getting a Fazer and its about 20 kg lighter than a bandit too!

Welcome mate. I now ride a little 600 Fzs but recently sold my last Suzuki Bandit 1200. She was too heavy in comparison with the FZS and unfortunately broke my leg under it! Love the weight of the Fazer!

Welcome Richard from another Richard!..lol. I passed my test when the wheel was still square (well it feels that long ago anyway)!..I bought my first Fazer about 6 weeks or so ago as I was always a Bandit man until my last K3 1200 fell on my leg breaking it in two places and putting me out of work for nearly 4 months!..At least the Fazer is 40 kg lighter and a dream to ride!

General / Re: sprockets/chain's
« on: 01 October 2012, 09:28:46 pm »
I have just changed my chain and sprockets but with good reason. The bike sounded so bad when riding it through the grounching of the partially seized chain links that it made it impossible to ride. I had my very first ride on my trusty steed yesterday!!...Only being a 6, she doesn't seem to have a lot of oomph up to 5000rpm but after that .....bloody hell it flies!...........Needs a new noisier can now!
Your picture doesn't look as though it needs it just yet but if the bike chatters to you when you free wheel then definately replace the chain and both sprockets. Ebay £71.00 for a full set!  :)

If you are already getting a leak from your tank, there is a sealer on the market called 'KREEM'. It is a 3 part cleaner, primer, sealer and very easy to do, but as someone has already said, take your time and do it correctly because this stuff definately works! I have done two fuel tanks with it. One was the CBX 550 tank and the other was a CB 250 RS Honda a still have in parts (ready for a full restoration). I did try 'Petseal' in a trial tank for the cbx and it failed so ended up throwing the tank away! I think the KREEM is about £45.00 but it can save you a fortune!
