FZS600 Fazer / Re: Problem starting on frosty mornings?
« on: 27 March 2012, 02:52:47 pm »
It happened 2 days after riding 235miles to Lincolnshire  :rolleyes , i do have a Datatool 3 alarm fitted. I'm not sure how old the battery is? My bike lives outside so i can't put it on an optimate either which would be nice if i could!!

FZS600 Fazer / Problem starting on frosty mornings?
« on: 27 March 2012, 08:55:43 am »
Ok, this has happened 3 times now! On cold, frosty mornings my bike will not turn over & all the clock readings go back to zero except the mileage!, It's like the battery is knackered? but if i bump start it & run it for 5 mins, turn it off & leave it for 10 mins it will start like its ok?
Have you Guy 'n' Girls got any suggestions, should i just buy a new battery as i've not seen this happen on other bikes??

Cheers

Good Question, I'm sure it will, rubber is quite good & i doubt it will get hot enough to melt it? I'd give it a go,if you have an old tube handy it costs nothing or about £2 to buy?

I've run 36/42 on most of the bikes i've had, i'm over 90 kgs its comfortable for me, i have tried lower pressures but it just didn't feel right, but it's all down to personal preference & what your happy with.

You could always find an old cycle inner tube & cut it to size, probably cheaper & will have loads left over which could be used to cover the block connectors on your bike if you ride all year round to stop some of the weather getting in them?   :D

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Maxxis Supermax

I have Maxxis on my Diversion 900, i rate them, infact i'm on my 3rd set. £139 a pair off Ebay & tbh i will fit them to my fazer 600 when there needed, i don't see the point of paying £50-£70 more when they are just as good & do the job more expensive brands do?

Thank you for the welcome  :)  yeah there is a very noticeable difference in the weight,i nearly push it over when i first got the Fazer, but to be honest  i think that the Fazer will be just as good, maybe a bit better than my divvy i will find out this weekend as i'm heading up to Lincolnshire   :eek
