Yip. Stelvio pass via the Nurburgring (again). Also a visit to my good friend in Bagni di Lucca and a stop off in Austria and lunch at lake Di Garda. I'm pretty sure Amsterdam will find its way in there too. It has a habit of doing that...  ;)
Not quite sure what to do with my early mid-life crisis. Ideas on a post card to P.O.BOX 150...

Pay the extra for the extended tour of Colditz its well worth it , Stalag Luft 3 ( Great Escape ) is about the same distance the other side of Dresden too
From Colditz heading west go through the Harz mountains then drop down to the Dambusters dams

Also if youre coming up from Brno stop by at Kutna Hora for a look at the Church Of Bones

Well you did say youre tourists  :lol   we did all that last year and it was a blast

I do a tour of the Alps every 2 years (on the 'blade not the FZ6!) and it's due this year so can't wait. Usually go end May but may be going later on this year (Aug/Sept) due to one of my mates moving house. The usual route is Newcastle - Amsterdam - Germany (300kph on the Autobahn which is mental!) - Switzerland (Furkha/Grimselpass etc) - Italy (Lakes/Stelvio etc) - Austria (Gross Glockner) - Nurburgring (tactical move to go on the way back just in case....!).

Bike meet at the Moehne dam on Sundays - well, used to be. Café there too.

Looks like July for Ardennes/Alps tour, up to 3 weeks. Can't wait!

Aye young lad, reminds me of the time I was at Colditz Castle many years ago.

Plotting my escape

Digging a tunnel

Just walked out the front door in the end  :lol

As mentioned earlier, Mohne and Eder Dam are worth a visit also. Especially the Eder, imagining them fly over the hill by the castle in the dark, swoop down to 60 feet, then missing the hill after the dam. Riding away after following the river downstream also brought it home what it must have been like for the locals.

ps I think you can stay overnight at Colditz now. When I was there they were 1/2 way through doing it up and restoring it.

Shame we're not all going at same time. Even if not riding the same route could have a target place and time........
Could be a real Meet the foccers  ;)

Isn't there a Fazer International meet in the Eifel area of Germany each July where some of say we will go, but nobody actually does.
There is a thread on the meets/rideouts board.

This one http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,2648.0.html

If there is one for 2014 I'll be interested.
