I suppose if red grease will protect just as well then best to be safe, I just get the impression that red grease is not as robust in staying where you put it as copper grease would be as it is made for assembly, just thinking rubber grease is sort of transulant/ watery  - not quite and dosent seem like it would stand up to the weather.

And if other grease is a no no with rubber - how come you pack rubber gatered joints on your car with non red rubber grease

Yes I have seen excess slowly creep up too, and always factor this in when getting quotes.
I never knew that about summer quotes - mine is in October, I wonder if it is worth while for those hit by summer quotes to go for a 6month one then 12 even though you will not be adding another year NCB in doing so, is that right that if you only insure 6 months a year you dont gain NCB

:stop  So you reckon putting grease with particles of metal in it being moved tight against rubber seals won't cause any issues?  :rolleyes

As advised, several times, on here, ONLY use Red RUBBER Grease.
I waw thinking on parts away from the seals - like they tell you to do the back of the pads

Interesting predictions... most of which turned out a little far off the mark

Er not quite,

Another prediction --Labour will loose - ed will resign -

Like has been said the bad bit is outside of the seals so I cant see a problem, rather than red grease (after fitting) would copper grease be better on those ends that are constantly exposed to keep rust at bay now that the chrome has been removed.
Why dont they make them from stainless steel is it just cost.

so whats the point of exit poles ive never seen one -where are they held,as that is going to influence the results, do they do it like the tv ratings so its only based on 100 people and then extrapolated

Another prediction --Labour will loose - ed will resign - his bro will come back from exile to rule and will win the next one.He knew dam well that labour would not win straight back in and let his bro have the leadership to then fail

I dont think a set of sockets should count. MY most expensive is my halfords pro torque wrench, but that shouldnt count as its expensive I dont keep it in the garage

I predict a Con/ukip coalition I think there are more people who will be voting ukip than the poles suggest.

The issue I find with stuff like that is you then spend the same amount of time again cleaning the cleaner

You mean to say that you're not supposed to eat that bit.........oh foc....
:lol

Toothbrush, for cleaning

Mrs Fazersharp hates it when I do that - she says it makes it taste funny

Piece of wood 1" square about 14" inch long to prop petrol tank up with

Yep got one of those, but also a half stage one that gives enough to get under and disconnect tubes / wires before lifting right up pulls everything about too much

Also, a 15ft piece of string/wheel alignment tool.
Why 15f do you tie it across the street

not being funny don't want a repaired helmet or a helmet that has been shipped all across the UK what a joke.
Too right !

I will get a full refund then I will buy from nearby shop
Sorry but we did try and warn you off from buying a lid this way----- I know at the time it was mainly about "what if it dont fit".

In any correspondence to the seller use the ebay messaging system and that way ebay/paypal can see what you and they have said and it will aid any refund decision. Yep open a case paypal will refund but once they see that a case has been open they should then refund. After all wont they just send it to to oxford and get it repaired and then sell on.

I think Nick Chrisp used to work for oxford and he had the is17 but changed it to the RASP10 or whatever is the next one up.

I must of tried on about 10 helmets to find the perfect fit for my pin head till my ears were sore I am happy with my is17

Are they perhaps aftermarket stainless/ anodized  bolts - maybe with the thread slightly off and so not actually biting p and gripping properly

The pins on your average chain are hardened, the file would just slide over them
no because the file is hardenerery, thats how they work so they remove stuff and not themselfs

i don't like the tought of item being shipped all over the place as more damage may occur to the helmet.

This would be by worry too and is one reason I prefer to buy from a shop as it cuts out a transit. Also through an ebay seller or distance seller you do not know how many times that helmet has been sent there and back - returned for not fitting just like you were going to do if it did not fit

Mine seems still well stuck on. Before I brought it I googled and googled and dont remember any issues with that.Try goolgeing for it and see if anyone else has the problem. Email to hjc with pictures and a New spoiler and new sticky tape perhaps, or back to ebay seller for a refund and a different make/model some where else.
We did speak about buying a lid on ebay without first trying it on but this is another reason it may not be a good idea, I got mine from J&S Accessories in person.

You can pick up a cheep angle grinder for £20, a few years ago I had to replace a more expensive one half way through a job, and needed it NOW so I just got the cheapest one i could find and about 5 years later its still going, but like you I dont use it that often. If you see one at aldi then get that as it will come with 3 years garntee
