Does any of the wires you altered connect some how to the ecu.If they do you may have damaged it .Dose'nt take much to do this.If the problem persists I have an old ecu from an 03 bike which is ok except for the part which turns the lights on.You are  welcome to it if it may help you sort your problem. The numbers on the ecu have to be a match. The one I have is 5lv-82305-40.   131800-8310.   12v   tndf71     denso.I do hope it is not this but if you accidently put a live feed down an earth near  the ecu it may share the same earth and get damaged. Some vehciles store the oddometer readings in the ecu.

So when you get them calibrated do you find that they are out or quite good each time, in my search I have seen the blue point talked about.

They have always been spot on ln the 30 to 40 range. One registered 1lb out at 100 psi the other only goes to 50 psi. Both gauges are analogue l have never had a digital one tested yet.

You could use the more expensive petrol.I did last year & after two tank fulls my bike felt smoother & was better on fuel.

Thanks for the advice guys , I am surprised by the fact that there are no legal limits on thickness of brake pads , when my bike was serviced last year , I was told that the front pads were at the wear markers and were therefore illegal and needing changing so was I duped by the garage that serviced the bike .
[/quote
There is or was min thickness limits for motor cycle brake pads for mot purposes. In fact two limits one for sintered pads & one for non sintered. Both thicker than most makers wear limits.

Oil could get into the cooling system via a leak inside the oil cooler. The cooler would need pressure testing to check this.

The headlight on is controled by the engine ecu.It earths one of the relays behind the screen when the engine starts.Hope this helps.
