Wire connector
« on: 28 December 2020, 06:14:58 pm »
Hi, my name is Jason and i'm from the Netherlands. I will introduce myself and my bike later but i bought myself a gen 1 fz1 from 2003 and found these wire connectors under the seat. I'm wondering if it's supposed to be like this or that perhaps something used to be connected to it. I hope anyone here can help me out.

Yes, its like that from factory.

Someone will correct me but I think these were for a factory immobilizer or somesuch.

Yes, those are the connectors for an immobiliser/alarm. One of the black wire loops is for the starter circuit, the other is for the the igition circuit. Other pins on the connectors are switched postive, unswitched positive and left/right indicators. I no longer have the pinout details (or the bike) but its easy enough to work out if you want to make use of them.
